4/13/2015 Uncle Gary

Hola,
The mission is absolutely awesome! We are seeing miracles happen every day in Liberal, Kansas. We have a baptism set for May 2nd for Gary. He's an amazing guy. He grew up having no religious background. He never went to church or really talked about God with his family. But he did marry a member of the church. They are so adorable together. I don't know how old they are, probably in their 50's- 60's. We so happened to sit next to his wife during stake conference about a month ago. She felt prompted to give us her husbands number. At that time they were having struggles with their marriage. Well ever since we've been teaching Gary, we've seen their relationship grow stronger. It's so amazing because the gospel of Jesus Chirst truly helps us in every aspect of our lives. As they grew closer to God, they grew closer together in their marriage and as a family. It was Sister Adam's birthday the day we had a lesson with them and they surprised her with cake and a card. Super sweet :) He signed his name as "Uncle Gary". So we truly gained a new family (of course not to replace our own family). We were able to be "cow girls" for a day on his farm on a  P-day a couple of weeks ago. We pretty much watched him and his son rope baby calves and tag their ears. Sadly we don't have any pictures. Anyways, there's so much we can say about Uncle Gary. He's definitely ready for baptism May 2nd. He could even be baptized April 25. Then after he's baptized, I hope I can attend the marriage ceiling in a year, that would be sweet!
And I always need to end with a scripture!
"Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
2 Nephi 31: 20
I know that if we do all these things we will have joy now and we throughout eternity. If we continue to center our life on Christ by using the atonement daily, we will have eternal life, which is the greatest of all the gifts of God.
con amor,
Hermana Webb
