Dear Everyone!
There are so many things to
tell you guys! This Past week we've "worked' on a farm tagging baby
calves, helped out at a Lego competition, gave a talks about stake
conference, had sister's conference with all the sisters from our
mission, listened to General Womens Conference, rode our bikes in the
wind and rain, helped out with a yard sale, taught lessons, and talked
to lots of people.
Sad news we're losing some great people
from our ward.... Good news... they're moving to Logan, Utah, so I can
see them after my mission. Sister Jones, Ana, Luis (who just got
baptized), and Christina. They are all recent converts and have strong
testimonies! They are literally selling all they have and going to the
promised land! Sound familiar? They had a yard sale and literally sold
everything they weren't bringing with them to Utah. But they won't be
moving to Utah for a couple of months so I guess they'll have to live
without a microwave and pretty much everything else that cant fit in
their car and just live very simply.
We've had a tons of
Tender Mercies like...we have investigator who has date for baptism. His
name is Auden and it turns out when we started teaching a good friend
of his but then gave him to the Elders to teach. We might give him to
the Elders because he's 21 and single... But his mom is interested as
well so hopefully we can teach both of them! It was such a tender mercy
that he was able to feel the spirit. We were teaching him a lesson on
the restoration and we were just trying to describe what the spirit felt
like. Then he said he just felt so happy and he didn't know why and he
started crying. It was just a perfect opportunity to teach him what the
spirit was. It's so hard to describe the spirit unless they have felt
it. So that was a tender mercy.
We had another tender mercy
in disguise. As we were on our way to Auden's house yesterday we got
lost on the bikes (because we're used to using the GPS in the car.) We
ended up seeing a family washing their car outside having fun. We asked
the Dad where the address was and he didn't know exactly either. We
talked for a while and turns out that his last name is Webb also...
coincidence...? No I don't believe in coincidences. So we tried to
figure out how we were related. Anyway we met his soon to be wife and
her 2 daughters and hopefully we will start teaching them. We then
proceeded to bike on and we completely passed the street we were
supposed to turn on beforehand. I know we were guided to the Webb
family!
1 Nephi 4:6 "And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do."
I love you guys!
con amor,
Hermana Webb
