Hola!
We had an epic BBQ this past Saturday! I would say almost 200 people came! It was pretty awesome because the Elders in our ward came up with the Idea. We had lots of help from the members too. We invited everyone, members, investigators, and random people on the streets. We had a bouncy house for the kids (I got a chance to go in there as well) We had a football and volleyball game going on. And best of all we had incredible hamburgers! We had a cooking competition and we had some people judge the hamburgers based off of taste, creativity, and presentation! It was a great way to bring everyone together in a fun environment. We even had a church tour for some new investigators.Andy has a baptismal date for this Saturday! We hope all goes well with him. We just started teaching him a couple of weeks ago, so it is fast. We met him at the gym (a member gave us gym passes) and we made a deal that if we went to the gym almost every day that he should go to church (we can't go on Saturdays because it opens later, and of course we can't on Sundays). Well, to our surprise he went to church. Then after coming to church another time and having a couple other lessons in members home, he's going to be baptized April 25!
I love you guys!
Let's not forget to have faith in the Lord.
"Yea, and how is it that ye have forgotten that the Lord is able to do all things according to his will, for the children of men, if it so be that they exercise faith in him? Wherefore, let us be faithful to him."
